This sari has lived.
On the front and back embroidery, you will find faint brown marks — the kind that happen at a long table, during a celebration, somewhere in Rajasthan. They are not damage. They are memory. Barely visible unless you look for them, and invisible once the piece is worn.
We could have chosen a different sari. We chose this one because the embroidery was too extraordinary to leave behind — and because we believe a piece that has already been celebrated deserves to be celebrated again.
